Wiggins

Situated in a great Rural location, this property has farming & ranching in it's roots. It's still very close to the front range so you can take advantage of all Colorado has to offer. A short & easy drive to DIA and you can be off to wherever life takes you.

In the Northeastern Plains & located about an hour’s drive from the Denver Metro Area and the Front Range. Wiggins was incorporated in 1974, and since incorporation, it has become a thriving gateway to the rolling plains and bountiful Rocky Mountains. The Town of Wiggins is surrounded by various agricultural productions, and offers the opportunity for boating, fishing, camping, hunting, as well as family recreation.

Jackson Lake State Park, the scenic Pawnee Buttes and the Pawnee National Grasslands are located a short distance north of town limits. On the southern edge of town, Kiowa Creek Recreation Area, sponsored by the local American Legion, provides use of a shooting range for both trap and target shooting. Also not far south of Wiggins, is Long Meadow Game Resort and Hunting Lodge, which is an elegantly rustic venue that has served many community members for family functions, weddings, business meetings, and hunting trips.

Wiggins is home to many local businesses, such as Country Hardware, Bella’s Market, the Baer Insurance Agency, Wiggins Auto Supply, High Plains Bank, Rudy’s G.T.O. and Stubs Gas Station, as well as several local restaurants. Located along the main thoroughfares of town, the family-owned businesses have been an integral part of developing the small community lifestyle that is enjoyed by so many.
The Town of Wiggins is also home to its own school district, providing education to children ages Pre-K through 12th grade, as well as extracurricular activities for the Middle School and High School.

Small community life really comes alive during the summer, where many citizens congregate at the town parks for community gatherings and festivals, softball, baseball, as well as children's recreational activities. The town has annual community barbecues,  historical celebrations, tractor pulls, Fourth of July festivities, and craft shows that serve to build strong community ties.
